The Groups

All over the UK, groups of parents, teachers or schools workers meet on a regular basis to pray for their local schools.

All over the UK, groups of parents, teachers or schools workers meet on a regular basis to pray for their local schools. Some meet in homes, others meet in schools, or send prayer requests to each other by email.

It’s easy to get started praying for schools – our guidelines give you advice on how to begin.

You can contact us to find out if there is already a group praying for a particular school. If you are already part of a group who is praying, or you want to start a group, please let us know. Our vision is to see every school prayed for, and there are many schools being prayed for that we don;t know about. If you register your group with us, you become part of a UK-wide movement, and we will send you resources and encouragement – as well as putting others who enquire about your school or area in touch with you.

If you are a schools worker, why not let us know which schools you are involved with. Then if individuals or groups contact us wanting to pray for these schools, we can put them in touch with you.

As God begins to answer your prayers for your local school, amazing things can happen!

Group Locations

The vision of Pray for Schools is to see every UK school be supported by prayer.

There are around 30,000 schools in the UK. Many already have groups of parents, teachers, local church members or pupils who are praying specifically for their local school.

We encourage groups to register with us and let us know what schools they are praying for. We maintain a database of these schools. That way we know which schools are prayed for schools – and which are not.

If you would like to know if there already is a prayer group at your local school, or if there are other groups in your area, please contact us.

If you are part of a prayer group that is not registered with Pray for Schools, then please let us know – that way we can put others in your area who want to pray in touch with you when they enquire.
